This week's Featured Artist is: Jane Keeling!

Here is a summary of Jane's process:

I started my challenge by applying gesso to my page and  collaged old love letters, envelopes and romantic music sheets on top. I applied a thin layer of light pink paint mixed with gesso over the top of the collaged papers.
While this dried a sketched a daisy design onto some pelmet vilenne , which I stitched with black thread . I painted inside the design with acrylic paint and cut it out .
Next I went back to my journal and went around the border with a magenta paint, to darken the edges slightly .
I collaged groups of old stamps that I have been collecting over the years . I applied pink sheer ribbon and cream lace along the bottom edge and left hand side.
Searching through all my old photos,I found just the picture that I wanted of a pretty lady with daisy's in her hair ,  and glued her on with strong matte medium. Using the same matte medium, applied my machine stitcheddaisy and falling petals!!
I added my lettering and finish off with some pearlescent inked hearts.
Have a wonderful Valentine's Day 😃❤️!!!
